LAURENT CASTELLANI

is a French photographer from Nantes (France)

Hermes, Armani, Guerlain, ... Laurent has been solicited by the biggest luxury houses in Paris and around the world to direct their promotional films and shoot some of their global campaigns.

Creative director for 15 years, Laurent has had the opportunity to work with the main communication agencies in the luxury industry in Paris. He worked exclusively with Chanel from February 2013 to March 2020. Among others, his films and visuals for Bose, Jaguar, Lancôme, and Bang & Olufsen have made him an artist with a 360° vision that mixes emotion and beauty in his visuals.

In addition to his work for agencies and clients, Laurent develop more personal visual projects. The style of his first short film (Les Jolies Choses for the Nikkon festival – 2019) brought him closer to the images of Terrence Malick or Jacques Audiard. Following his Mulholland drive photographic series, Netflix HQ (Los Angeles, USA contacted him to collaborate.

With his camera on his shoulder, Laurent likes to feel the "pulse" of his subjects by being as close as possible in his framing. This proximity with his models and the photographic outcomes (grain of the skin, reflection of the light, emotions in the details) …) has shaped his photographic style and become his now famous trademark.

Today he is known for his minimalist and very focused images. His first book "Reverie" is sold all over the world (Amazon, Fnac, Barnes & Nobles, Walmart, etc...). His work has also been published in the following magazines: Vogue, Conde Nast, InStyle, Elle, Cosmo, L'officiel, Harpers Bazaar, etc...

The gallery that represents him in France is in Paris: the « Galerie Madé » (6th district in Paris in Saint Germain des Près). Laurent also has an agent in San Francisco that allowed him to be exhibited at the Google HQ in November 2022.
